Senior Data Engineer - Hybrid in Germany
Senior Data Engineer responsible for dependable pipelines, warehouses, and analytics infrastructure supporting GLS/NXT’s logistics technology products. The role focuses on data quality, modeling, testing, and scalable cloud platforms.

- Partner across teams to expand GLS/NXT’s data infrastructure
- Help shape the roadmap and delivery of GLS/NXT data products
- Build, monitor, and scale pipelines that support data warehousing
- Connect diverse data sources with their destinations
- Create data models and schemas for analytical needs
- Collaborate with engineering teams on architecture and infrastructure challenges
- Develop practical technical solutions
- Support cross-functional initiatives for data applications and reporting
- Resolve data quality problems and apply proven best practices
- Maintain thorough documentation for systems
- Protect the reliability and integrity of the data infrastructure and analytics platform
- Define and implement data testing strategies
- Detect data quality issues proactively
- Provide accurate, dependable data for analytics and reporting
Талаптар
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related engineering discipline
- At least five years of demonstrated experience in data engineering
- Advanced ability to design, build, monitor, and scale data pipelines
- Practical experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow
- Strong Python and Go programming skills
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS and Google Cloud Platform
- Strong working knowledge of Google BigQuery and Snowflake
- Proficiency in SQL across varied data sources
- Experience using dbt for data modeling, schema design, incremental strategies, and query optimization
- Expertise with Looker and LookML
- Experience managing software development operations, including CI/CD pipelines and agile practices
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize work and manage projects against business objectives
- Ability to establish clear priorities that support successful project delivery
