Firmware Engineering Manager at Agility Robotics (Hybrid)
Lead embedded C++ firmware architecture and sensor-control systems for Agility Robotics’ humanoid robots. Build engineering capability and deliver reliable firmware for production robotic automation.

- Lead a team of senior embedded software engineers.
- Advocate for team talent and communicate their needs to senior leadership.
- Mentor engineers while reinforcing technical rigor and ownership.
- Oversee performance reviews and create tailored development plans.
- Help shape C++ firmware architecture for low-level sensor networks, controls, and power management.
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams on complex robotics software and hardware integration challenges.
- Review code, coordinate sprint planning, schedule releases, and prioritize engineering work.
- Define robot firmware architecture, design subsystems, and develop dependable firmware.
- Document interfaces and support fellow engineers.
Талаптар
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, systems engineering, robotics, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in robotics, autonomous vehicles, aerospace, industrial automation, or similarly complex software and systems environments.
- At least two years of experience leading and managing engineering teams.
- Demonstrated success building high-performing engineering teams and establishing scalable processes with strong operational discipline.
- Deep knowledge of practices for developing performant, maintainable software.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical and executive stakeholders and align software and hardware teams.
- Ability to apply AI tools to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Professional experience with modern C++ standards, including C++17 and C++20.
- Experience with FreeRTOS or a comparable real-time operating system.
- Ability to combine technical depth with strategic leadership in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
- Familiarity with agile development, Jira, feature branching, Git, and continuous integration and deployment.
- Experience with unit testing tools such as GTest and coverage analysis.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Current authorization to work in the United States is required.
