Transportation Claims Adjuster - United States (Remote)

Manage complex transportation claims involving bodily injury, physical damage, and litigation for Charger Logistics. Investigate losses, coordinate resolutions, and support accurate claim settlements and reporting.

Description

  • Assess and resolve complex claims, including litigated matters, in line with applicable legal and regulatory standards.
  • Lead the investigation, evaluation, and resolution of bodily injury claims involving company vehicles or drivers.
  • Create comprehensive claim summaries for internal reporting, large-loss reviews, and reinsurance needs.
  • Handle bodily injury claims according to industry best practices and company procedures.
  • Adjust physical damage claims, including damage that was not reported at the time of the incident.
  • Negotiate with insurers, claimants, and third-party representatives after receiving critical claim information.
  • Review accidents, damage, preventability, and related procedures with commercial vehicle operators.
  • Maintain documentation for litigation, subrogation, physical damage, liability, and workers' compensation claims.
  • Report claims and accidents as required.
  • Provide overnight and weekend on-call coverage for serious accidents and perform related duties as needed.
  • Select and manage vendors such as towing providers, body shops, garages, and storage yards to obtain accurate settlement costs.
  • Record and update repair payments.
  • Order police reports, open claim files, and confirm losses with insurers and brokers.
  • Coordinate relevant matters with the Claims, Safety, Compliance, and other appropriate teams.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in insurance or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in trucking, claims, or safety and compliance is preferred.
  • Experience with commercial lines and transportation liability.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Strong multitasking, time-management, customer service, and organizational abilities.
  • Capacity to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Ability to remain composed during crisis situations.
