Senior Operations Manager – Warehouse Logistics (Onsite, Lithia Springs)

Lead DSV warehouse operations in Lithia Springs, coordinating staffing, safety, customer service, productivity, compliance, budgets, and continuous improvement. Oversee supervisors and support teams while maintaining service levels, operational controls, and client commitments.

Description

  • Direct daily warehouse activities across receiving, shipping, storage, space utilization, and equipment operations
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound volumes, work schedules, staffing, warehouse capacity, supplies, equipment, and other resources
  • Lead warehouse operations supervisors and support personnel
  • Recruit, train, assess, develop, motivate, counsel, and discipline employees when necessary
  • Manage performance against productivity, service, KPI, quality, safety, and cost targets
  • Maintain compliance with company and client SOPs, SLAs, policies, and statutory health and safety standards
  • Implement continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
  • Communicate significant operational issues to senior leaders and client representatives
  • Ensure employees are capable of using WMS platforms, client systems, and required hardware and software
  • Oversee customer service delivery, client support, customer meetings, and supplier or customer site visits
  • Assist with annual operating budget preparation and maintain operational controls within cost, revenue, and profit parameters
  • Oversee sanitation, maintenance, security, housekeeping, safety, and material-handling equipment programs
  • Lead regular staff meetings and warehouse safety and compliance audits
  • Work overtime when business needs require it and complete other assigned responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least 7 years of experience in logistics, distribution, or a related environment
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated proficiency with applicable warehouse management systems
  • English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a business environment at all organizational levels
  • Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures ranging from mild to moderate in warmer and colder months
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Sound organizational and personnel-management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective leadership, supervision, and planning abilities
  • Availability for flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, as needed
  • Willingness to participate in cross-training activities
  • Ability to adapt to change and perform effectively in a fast-paced workplace
