Description

  • Set and advance communications strategy for Manulife Wealth and Asset Management’s Retirement & Wealth business in Canada.
  • Develop messaging that communicates strategic objectives to internal and external audiences.
  • Strengthen the business’s reputation with media, advisors, and other stakeholders.
  • Deliver internal and external communications that inform employees and the press.
  • Create and execute integrated communications plans, then assess their effectiveness.
  • Build strategic relationships with segment and global business partners.
  • Help colleagues understand the global mission, strategy, products, services, and culture.
  • Coordinate with segment and global communications teams to align messaging, positioning, and language.
  • Manage internal channels, including the intranet, executive communications, newsletters, and town halls.
  • Review and refine communications strategies to increase engagement and understanding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism, or a related field.
  • At least 6–8 years of experience in internal and external communications.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within reasonable timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Creative, proactive self-starter with initiative and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a globally integrated, aligned communications team.
