Description

  • Shape solution architecture across application, integration, data, and infrastructure layers in a Microsoft-focused environment.
  • Design scalable, secure, and resilient systems using layered, domain-driven, event-driven, and service-oriented approaches.
  • Align architectures with enterprise standards for security, performance, observability, and compliance.
  • Assess and recommend technologies, frameworks, and patterns that support long-term sustainability.
  • Serve as a senior technical authority and make technical decisions for supported teams.
  • Design, develop, review, and optimize production-quality code.
  • Build solutions with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Web APIs, and related frameworks.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Take part in code reviews and deliver actionable feedback.
  • Design and implement solutions on Microsoft Azure.
  • Architect APIs and system integrations using REST, messaging, and event-driven patterns.
  • Support data architecture and persistence approaches built on SQL Server.
  • Contribute to legacy modernization and cloud-native or hybrid architecture initiatives.
  • Convert business needs into technical solutions with business analysts and stakeholders.
  • Track assigned technical work within project plans.
  • Provide technical direction to developers without formal people-management duties.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, design decisions, and operational guidance.
  • Explain design tradeoffs and their impacts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • At least seven years of progressive experience in software engineering, system design, and application architecture.
  • Extensive experience with C#, .NET or .NET Core, ASP.NET, Web APIs, service-based architectures, SQL Server, and relational data modeling.
  • Demonstrated experience combining architecture leadership with hands-on senior development for large, complex systems.
  • Strong background designing and supporting enterprise-scale, mission-critical applications.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience connecting internal and external systems through APIs and messaging.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve highly complex technical problems under delivery pressure.
  • Strong command of software design principles, architectural patterns, and performance optimization.
  • Ability to influence technical direction and improve engineering quality through sound judgment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience modernizing or integrating with legacy platforms is preferred.
  • Experience with data conversion or large-scale system migrations is preferred.
  • Experience in highly regulated or data-intensive enterprise environments is preferred.
