Description

Lead the analysis and design of PODS’s enterprise information architecture
Develop an integrated view and roadmap for technology strategy, business processes, and information technology
Collaborate with business and technology teams to align solutions with organizational objectives and mission
Create information architecture blueprints and designs that support functional roadmaps
Promote information architecture, design, and governance practices among IT and business stakeholders
Initiate and coordinate complex technology assessments, proofs of concept, and prototyping efforts
Design and document data flows throughout the enterprise technology environment
Develop data models for analytics and reporting and evaluate their feasibility
Partner with data governance teams to define master, reference, and structural data standards
Collaborate with solution architects on data integration and service architectures
Define architectural designs and change requirements that support desired business outcomes
Establish and document enterprise application architecture standards across platforms and engineering teams
Oversee alignment of enterprise information architecture models with packaged application models and evaluate vendor solutions
Ensure information architecture effectively addresses business data and information needs
Document infrastructure architecture environments and operating procedures
Create data architecture blueprints covering multi-year transitions, modernization, and transformation recommendations
Re-engineer and maintain an enterprise-wide view of data across business systems
Assess user-community information needs and design the supporting data structures
Advance enterprise information capabilities including MDM, metadata management, analytics, content management, and data integration

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems analysis, or a related field
At least 12 years of enterprise experience in data architecture, database design, business intelligence, or a related area
At least 12 years of experience at a private-sector organization with 300 or more employees or a government agency with 500 or more employees
At least 7 years of experience as a data architect
An enterprise architecture certification such as TOGAF or ZF is preferred
Expertise and practical experience in MDM, business intelligence, and data warehouse design and implementation
Knowledge of industry-standard middleware, ETL, master data hubs, and service-oriented architecture design and delivery
Experience with BI and analytics architectures, including traditional data warehousing, distributed computing, NoSQL, virtualization, or data streaming
Experience defining cloud information architectures using technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, Azure SQL, Cassandra, and Cosmos
Experience with ERWin or an industry-standard modeling tool for OLTP and OLAP data models and implementations
Understanding and practical experience with domain modeling, business process data flows, business information modeling, entity flow diagrams, common information models, and MDM
Knowledge of the Microsoft Azure Stack
Experience with Tableau, Power BI, and Snowflake
Knowledge of and practical experience implementing data management capabilities such as master and reference data management, data quality management, metadata management, and data governance
