Senior Analytics Engineer, BI — Remote

Build dashboards, SQL models, and data pipelines that support SunnyData customer data journeys. Improve reporting accuracy, usability, and data-driven decision-making.

Description

  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, Databricks AI/BI, Looker, or comparable BI platforms.
  • Turn ticketed business requests into accurate, actionable data visualizations.
  • Standardize definitions, metrics, and data logic across reporting assets.
  • Improve query and dashboard performance while keeping results clear and usable.
  • Record the logic and assumptions underpinning key metrics and dashboards.
  • Develop and maintain database views, derived tables, and other analytical objects.
  • Model and transform data to support dependable downstream reporting.
  • Investigate data discrepancies and verify accuracy across systems.
  • Partner on improvements to data structures and warehouse organization.
  • Deliver accurate, thoroughly documented dashboards within agreed SLAs.
  • Create clean, reusable SQL objects for ongoing reporting needs.
  • Strengthen metric clarity and consistency while reducing reporting-request back-and-forth.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and provide support to junior colleagues.

Requirements

  • At least four years of relevant experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, CTEs, aggregations, and window functions.
  • Practical experience working with cloud-based data warehouses.
  • Experience creating dashboards and reports in Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Ability to interpret business needs and convert them into technical solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and disciplined data-validation practices.
  • Ability to lead business discussions, establish standards, document KPIs and reports, optimize large data models, and support junior team members.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an engineering-related discipline.
  • English proficiency is required, with English-level selection included in the application form.
