Sales Engineer, Technical Support – Unmanned Systems

Support unmanned-platform integration, customer training, and sustainment for defense applications. Provide gimbal expertise and field support during customer deployments.

Description

  • Provide technical support to Account Executives and Account Managers throughout customer engagements
  • Support new platform integrations and contribute to pre-sales technical discussions
  • Prepare technical documentation and provide remote integration assistance when needed
  • Deliver customer product training before and after sales
  • Travel regularly to customer sites for bailments, demonstrations, and product deliveries
  • Act as a subject matter expert on gimbal operation and performance expectations
  • Support product sustainment, including firmware updates and new feature releases
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and field exercises
  • Work with Field Service Representatives to troubleshoot issues, resolve performance concerns, and process RMAs
  • Document customer feedback on limitations, capability gaps, and requirements to guide engineering design

Requirements

  • At least two years of technical or engineering experience integrating hardware on autonomous or unmanned platforms such as UAS, USV, or UGV
  • At least two years of experience in sales engineering, customer support, or field support
  • Knowledge of the defense technology sector and unmanned-systems applications
  • Ability to explain product capabilities clearly and work effectively with customers and partners
  • Willingness to travel on short notice for customer engagements and demonstrations
  • On-site work is required; remote work is not authorized
  • Work from a CACI facility when not traveling
  • Experience integrating or operating EO/IR camera payloads
  • Experience with machine vision and full-motion video systems
  • Understanding of electromagnetic spectral sensor technology for ISR applications
  • Expertise with MAVLink, ArduPilot, and QGroundControl
  • Knowledge of optics, photonics, focal-plane systems, or stabilization technologies
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP networking
  • Active security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline preferred
  • Up to 50% travel required
