UPS Business Development Supervisor – Central Alabama (Remote)

UPS is seeking a Business Development Supervisor to grow its customer base across Central Alabama. The role combines prospecting, solution presentations, deal negotiation, closing, and frequent in-person territory visits.

Description

  • Manage the Central Alabama territory, including Birmingham-Hoover, Montgomery, and Tuscaloosa, plus secondary markets across west-central Alabama.
  • Sell UPS products, services, and solutions to prospective customers at all organizational levels.
  • Find new account opportunities and schedule customer appointments.
  • Assess customer needs and present tailored sales solutions.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, address objections, and close sales.
  • Expand the customer base within targeted market segments to drive new business.
  • Generate revenue in line with organizational objectives.
  • Visit customers in person three to four days each week within the assigned territory.
  • Travel regularly throughout the territory, including occasional overnight trips when necessary.
  • May supervise small teams, coordinate priorities, collaborate with colleagues, and provide coaching or guidance.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success identifying, pursuing, and winning new business through prospecting, relationship development, and consultative sales.
  • Ability to analyze and apply customer data to shape pricing strategies, uncover opportunities, and communicate value.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and work effectively with team members.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, a lawful permanent resident, or otherwise authorized to work in the United States for this employer.
  • Willingness to travel locally often and maintain in-person customer relationships.
