Quantitative Analytics Consultant - Fraud Model Validation

PNC seeks a quantitative analytics consultant to independently validate fraud, anti-money-laundering, and machine-learning models. The role evaluates model risk, performs statistical testing, and produces validation documentation for regulatory compliance.

Description

  • Independently conduct qualitative and quantitative reviews of PNC models, including fraud, anti-money-laundering, and machine-learning models
  • Evaluate model data quality, integrity, assumptions, methodologies, design, implementation, and performance
  • Test model assumptions and apply quantitative methods to measure and analyze model risk
  • Assess model risk while identifying model strengths and limitations
  • Engage with model owners, developers, reviewers, technical and non-technical stakeholders, and regulators
  • Produce detailed validation reports and documentation supporting regulatory compliance
  • Partner with Model Risk Management to enhance validation procedures and risk-management practices
  • Create new model frameworks and provide support to business lines
  • Refine, monitor, and validate established models
  • Use large datasets to develop models
  • Review reports and their supporting quantitative analyses

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Finance, Economics, Operations Research, or Mathematics
  • Experience developing or validating models in financial services or an academic environment
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Practical experience with SQL, SAS, Python, or R
  • Generally, at least five years of relevant industry experience
  • Equivalent education, job-specific certifications, and experience may substitute for a degree
  • Employment visa sponsorship is not available
