Sales Development Representative - Rochester, NY (Hybrid)

Develop existing Motion Industries accounts through outbound sales, quoting, CRM follow-up, and e-commerce training. Collaborate with branch and division teams to support product growth.

Description

  • Engage assigned account bases across multiple branch locations through outbound calls and sales development.
  • Identify, quote, and convert opportunities for products customers do not currently purchase to grow account volume.
  • Coordinate with Motion customer service representatives on order entry, order tracking, and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with branch and division teams to deliver on customer needs.
  • Maintain CRM records for account follow-ups and active quoting opportunities.
  • Demonstrate e-commerce capabilities to assigned accounts and train customers to use the tools.
  • Handle additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED plus at least two years of related sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated sales experience conducting proactive outbound calls.
  • Ability to understand customer pain points and product needs.
  • Skill in recognizing potential add-on sales opportunities.
  • Reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and focused approach to work.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with field sales teams.
  • Strong professional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Demonstrated business development success using CRM, LinkedIn, and Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and time efficiently while pursuing sales growth targets.
  • Proactive approach and strong urgency in working toward sales goals.
  • Positive attitude and resilience when handling rejection.
  • Ability to build rapport, influence others, and sustain strong working relationships.
