Procurement Attorney

Advise TransUnion on U.S. vendor engagements, drafting and negotiating contracts while guiding stakeholders on legal, privacy, risk, and business issues. Partner with Procurement and cross-functional teams on contract matters and report to the Managing Counsel.

Description

  • Advise on U.S. vendor engagements and related business needs.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate vendor and partner contracts.
  • Work with subject-matter experts, Procurement, and business stakeholders.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business.
  • Assist with vendor contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate with privacy, information security, third-party risk, insurance, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Guide stakeholders through business and legal issues in ongoing contract relationships.
  • Make legal decisions and business recommendations for a public company.
  • Report to the Managing Counsel on the Legal team.

Requirements

  • Bring at least three years of relevant experience.
  • Hold a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Have an active law license in good standing in each applicable employment state by the start date, subject to state rules.
  • Maintain an active law license and good standing throughout employment.
  • Have experience reviewing and negotiating vendor and procurement agreements, including commercial and legal terms across IT, facilities, marketing, HR, professional services, and commodity contracts.
  • Show interest in global data privacy laws and regulations.
  • Use creative problem-solving to find business-friendly solutions while managing company risk.
  • Demonstrate sound commercial judgment, including the ability to anticipate issues, analyze them, and make recommendations.
  • Show interest in emerging technologies.
  • Be curious about new ideas and motivated to solve complex problems.
  • Be authorized to work full-time in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
