- Own delivery of a full-stack revenue cycle management worklist platform spanning the interface, backend services, APIs, and data model.
- Develop event-driven services and workflows that route, prioritize, and track work handled by people and AI agents.
- Create and maintain API and translation layers connecting the platform with EverHealth products, its clearinghouse, and external systems.
- Develop software that invokes, coordinates, and monitors AI agents with guardrails, human review, and observability.
- Lead data modeling and schema design while writing efficient SQL and applying ORMs effectively.
- Work with users, product, operations, and business leaders to understand workflows, define problems, and measure results.
- Help set technical direction and engineering standards while mentoring engineers through reviews, pairing, and design discussions.
- Promote AI-assisted practices throughout planning, design, implementation, testing, review, and operations.
- Deliver secure, dependable, HIPAA-compliant software supported by rigorous testing, monitoring, and operational practices.
- Assess opportunities for automation, AI, and new product experiences across the EverHealth portfolio.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of professional software engineering experience, including setting technical direction for a team.
- Strong full-stack experience with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or comparable languages, and a history of shipping production UI, backend, and API systems.
- Hands-on experience designing event-driven systems, including message queues, event streams, and asynchronous workflows.
- Advanced SQL capability with practical experience in modern databases, ORMs, and schema design.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI productively across the software development lifecycle.
- Product-focused engineering approach centered on solving problems and delivering measurable outcomes.
- Ability to work with nontechnical stakeholders, including users and business leaders, and turn their needs into working software.
- Comfort operating on a small team with substantial ownership and changing responsibilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience integrating LLMs or AI agents into production systems, including orchestration, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop processes.
- Healthcare or revenue cycle management experience, including claims, EDI 837/835, eligibility, denials, accounts receivable, and HIPAA workflows.
