- Lead valuation and reserving for Pearl Health’s MSSP ACO portfolio from model development through financial close
- Own the rebuild, maintenance, and ongoing development of the MSSP valuation model
- Oversee monthly and quarterly financial close processes
- Establish IBNR reserves and provide monthly results for financial reporting
- Reconcile prior performance-year results with final CMS settlements
- Develop forecasts for each new performance year as ACO partners are added
- Define Pearl’s approach to interpreting MSSP data and work with Engineering to operationalize it
- Collaborate with Operations, Customer Success, Engineering, and Data Science
Requirements
- At least six years of relevant actuarial experience
- Deep knowledge of MSSP offerings
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related quantitative discipline
- Advanced spreadsheet modeling and analytical skills using tools such as Excel or Google Sheets
- Strong SQL-based data analysis capabilities
- Python experience for data analysis and automation is preferred
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-technical stakeholders and executive leaders is preferred
- Experience in an ACO or comparable environment is preferred
- Demonstrated impact in a growing, fast-paced startup is preferred
- ASA or FSA designation is preferred
