Event Specialist, EMEA Events

Plan and deliver events across EMEA for CSC, coordinating suppliers, budgets, Cvent registration, Salesforce tracking, and performance reporting.

Description

  • Plan and deliver assigned events across EMEA from start to finish.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders and guide them proactively through event planning.
  • Source, brief, negotiate with, and coordinate external venues and suppliers.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including attendees, branding, production, catering, registration, setup, and on-site delivery.
  • Manage event budgets and forecasts while ensuring commercially responsible spending.
  • Maintain event data and reports covering registrations, attendance, leads, budgets, and post-event results.
  • Assess event performance, feedback, lessons learned, and opportunities to improve.
  • Help develop event best practices, processes, and standards.
  • Set up and run events in Cvent, including registration sites, communications, and reporting.
  • Support invitation campaigns, track registrations, and work toward attendance targets.
  • Use Salesforce and collaborate with internal teams to select contacts, track events, and manage post-event leads.
  • Prepare, pack, and ship event materials and promotional items, coordinating couriers and deliveries.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Events team during busy periods.
  • Partner with Marketing and colleagues across the organization to deliver events that meet commercial and brand objectives.
  • Report to the Senior Event Specialist.

Requirements

  • At least five years of event experience, preferably in a corporate, professional services, financial services, or agency setting.
  • Experience managing multiple events and deadlines at once while tracking return on investment.
  • Able to take ownership of events without step-by-step direction.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to communicate clearly and authentically with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently with guidance and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written English, proofreading, and research skills.
  • Willing and able to travel within the UK and internationally when needed, sometimes at short notice.
  • Willing to work outside standard 9-to-5 hours when required.
  • A bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
