Civil Engineering CAD Technician
Create CAD designs and engineering documentation for Marshalls’ precast concrete drainage products. Support water management and infrastructure projects across the UK.
Description
- Create CAD designs and provide technical support for Marshalls Civils & Drainage products.
- Focus mainly on water management products and solutions.
- Contribute to work on linear drainage, sealed manholes and specialist products made to customer specifications.
- Prepare CAD drawings, calculations and bills of materials.
- Deliver engineering support to a high standard.
- Follow Marshalls’ processes and applicable industry standards.
Requirements
- Hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a civil engineering-related subject.
- Have design and technical experience in a consultancy, design-and-build contractor, or building products design and manufacturing business.
- Apply relevant industry design standards and codes.
- Have experience with material take-offs and drawing or specification reviews.
- Use 2D AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks to create digital models.
- Experience detailing precast concrete products and structures is an advantage.
- Communicate effectively and build relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Adapt to changing needs and priorities.
- Show the self-motivation needed to meet project deadlines.
