Senior Azure Container Engineer

Description
- Build and manage enterprise-scale AKS clusters and supporting Azure services.
- Implement infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
- Containerise applications with Docker.
- Onboard data, integration and AI service workloads.
- Apply Kubernetes security controls, including RBAC, network policies, image scanning, secrets management and supply-chain security.
- Set up observability with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Container Insights.
- Prepare documentation, runbooks and test evidence for audited government environments.
- Deliver secure, production-ready container platforms for a major Australian government agency.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with AKS, Docker, Helm, Kubernetes and Azure in enterprise environments.
- Infrastructure as code skills with Bicep and/or Terraform.
- CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of container security, networking, identity and observability on Azure.
- Experience delivering work in government or regulated environments.
- Knowledge of ISM, PSPF and Essential Eight.
- AZ-400 certification strongly preferred.
- AZ-104, CKA, CKAD and AZ-500 certifications are advantageous.
- Australian citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Baseline security clearance.
