Business Systems Project Manager – Hyderabad (Hybrid)

Lead enterprise technology projects at Progress, from requirements discovery and process design through implementation and benefits realization. Partner across global business functions on governance, systems integration, and acquisition readiness.

Description

  • Gather, assess, and record business and functional requirements across organizational units
  • Convert requirements into specifications for engineering and configuration teams
  • Document existing processes and create future-state process designs
  • Find opportunities to improve processes and deliver supporting technology solutions
  • Assess proposed solutions across people, processes, data, and controls
  • Analyze systems and data to inform integration, migration, and rationalization decisions
  • Support user acceptance testing by creating scenarios, coordinating participants, and monitoring defects
  • Direct discovery work through interviews, workshops, process reviews, and requirements breakdown
  • Create and manage project plans from discovery through implementation, change management, and benefits realization
  • Track and control project risks, issues, decisions, and changes
  • Facilitate working sessions and governance meetings, assigning actions, monitoring commitments, clearing obstacles, and driving decisions
  • Develop Lean Business Cases that assess value, cost, risk, and return
  • Produce executive-level status updates on progress, risks, decisions, budget, and benefits
  • Maintain project records, including charters, plans, RAIDD logs, communications, training content, and go-live readiness assessments
  • Coordinate reviews with privacy, security, compliance, Legal, Security, Audit, and Internal Audit stakeholders
  • Represent business users throughout delivery and promote solution adoption
  • Support acquisition integration by documenting acquired systems and processes, aligning them with Progress, and identifying Day 1 readiness risks
  • Develop partnerships across business units and enabling functions
  • Help improve EPMO standards, templates, and continuous-improvement practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management information systems, computer science, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3–5+ years of combined business systems analysis and project management experience on enterprise technology initiatives
  • Demonstrated ownership of both requirements definition and the delivery plan for the same project
  • Experience gathering requirements from non-technical stakeholders and converting them into engineering specifications
  • Hands-on experience with a major CRM or ERP platform, such as Salesforce or NetSuite
  • Ability to deliver cross-functional projects without direct authority over participating teams
  • Working knowledge of traditional project management and Agile delivery methods
  • Strong process documentation and diagramming capabilities
  • Ability to create documentation suitable for audit and compliance reviews
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive-level status reporting
  • Strong ownership and follow-through
  • Availability from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. EST
  • Preferred: experience with M&A integration, systems rationalization, or post-acquisition migration
  • Preferred: familiarity with quote-to-cash or lead-to-cash architecture spanning CRM, CPQ, and ERP
  • Experience in data analysis and data integration
  • Experience using Jira, Asana, or similar work management platforms
  • Conceptual knowledge of application architecture, integration patterns, and cloud services
  • Preferred: PMP, PMI-PBA, PMI-ACP, CBAP, SAFe, or Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Preferred: experience in a PMO, Center of Excellence, or enterprise governance function
