Business Systems Analyst Contract Remote United States

Remote contract Business Systems Analyst role supporting banking applications and enterprise initiatives. Responsibilities include functional analysis, testing, integrations, acquisitions, and regulatory change projects.

Description

  • Develop clear functional specifications for assigned projects
  • Create and execute test plans and test cases
  • Analyze complex data to support accurate functional designs
  • Coach junior staff on applications, research methods, and project practices
  • Lead functional work on complex projects and organize team meetings
  • Arrange and facilitate meetings, then record and distribute minutes
  • Consult with business clients on application changes involving enterprise initiatives, regulatory or compliance needs, contracts, and business-as-usual maintenance
  • Contribute to design discussions and produce functional specifications
  • Define application user-experience requirements and provide client feedback
  • Validate business requirements with technology teams
  • Coordinate project estimates, schedules, and delivery phases
  • Assess application impacts of acquisitions and significant product or service changes
  • Collaborate with vendors and technical teams to evaluate functionality and inform implementations
  • Coordinate testing for large initiatives spanning multiple applications
  • Create data mappings for integrations, conversions, and acquisition projects
  • Develop test plans and scripts with testing teams, and manage or perform test execution
  • Track specifications and change requests against scope, regulations, business needs, and technology standards
  • Record, assess, and resolve change requests
  • Coordinate prompt resolution and documentation of testing and implementation issues
  • Oversee post-launch feedback, issue resolution, and planned-versus-actual timeline and financial reviews
  • Follow company risk, regulatory, and internal-control requirements
  • Escalate risk issues to management
  • Support diversity initiatives and the Bank brand
  • Implement internal and external audit actions and respond to regulator-raised issues
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • At least six years of combined higher education and operational or business analytics experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Highly organized approach to work

  • Proficiency with computers and relevant software packages
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve issues effectively
  • Business subject-matter expertise with experience using the supported application or system

  • Broad system knowledge for work beyond routine business-as-usual activities
  • Ability to use project management, word-processing, and spreadsheet software
  • Strong understanding of the Bank’s application framework
  • Familiarity with application development software and hardware platforms
  • Ability to understand supported business functions and terminology
  • Confidence presenting to all levels of management
  • Ability to multitask across complex project components
  • Ability to coordinate work across applications and business units
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to identify project milestones and delivery deadlines

  • Strong knowledge of Bank acquisition methodology or relevant conversion experience
