Business Development Executive – London (Hybrid)

Support client targeting, proposals, events and marketing campaigns for Clyde & Co’s UK team. Use market research, CRM analysis and client insight to support business development initiatives.

Description

  • Assist Business Development Managers and Sector Heads with client-targeting programmes
  • Compile research packs with relevant client and market intelligence for meetings
  • Review and report on client activity across meetings, events and pitches
  • Provide flexible support for initiatives focused on generating revenue
  • Help coordinate preparations for regional client visits
  • Assist with data analysis and financial reporting
  • Support pitches and proposals by reviewing RFPs and checking that submissions satisfy requirements
  • Find and adapt standard materials such as firm details, professional biographies and capability statements
  • Draft briefing documents and coordinate accurate, high-quality submissions by agreed deadlines
  • Work with internal stakeholders to gather contributions and secure approvals
  • Plan and deliver both in-person and virtual client events
  • Maintain event and invitation lists and coordinate supporting materials
  • Coordinate event arrangements with external suppliers
  • Manage client webinars and support delivery at live events
  • Measure and analyse the return on investment from events
  • Assist with marketing campaigns, client communications, brochures and other promotional materials
  • Produce CRM activity reports and apply analytics to track performance and improve return on investment
  • Create, update and maintain content for the website
  • Support podcasts and other digital content projects
  • Assist with legal directory submissions and coordinate interview arrangements
  • Research clients, markets, competitors and sectors
  • Develop reports and analysis for business development programmes
  • Keep internal records accurate and ensure relevant data is captured in company systems
  • Provide analysis and recommendations on Business Development and Marketing activity

Requirements

  • Degree-level education or equivalent relevant experience
  • At least one year of Business Development or Marketing experience in a professional services organisation
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work effectively in a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised, with close attention to detail
  • Able to manage competing tasks and projects, set stakeholder expectations and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Strong IT capability, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and online research tools
  • Ideally experienced with legal-sector CRM systems, client mailing tools and webinar technology
  • Able to build productive relationships across the Business Development team and wider organisation
  • Proactive, adaptable and collaborative working style
