Business Developer - Ameresco - United States Remote

Drive growth for Ameresco’s facilities sustainability software and advisory services by managing qualified leads, client relationships, market research, proposals, and expansion opportunities.

Description

  • Track facilities management, asset management, capital planning, energy planning, and related industry developments to inform business offerings.
  • Identify, prepare for, support, and participate in local and regional client meetings, both virtually and in person.
  • Assess markets to evaluate competitors, activity levels, and potential business opportunities.
  • Gather, analyze, and summarize competitive intelligence to strengthen the positioning of Ameresco’s offerings.
  • Develop deep expertise in the software platform to advise existing clients and support retention and upsell opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Business Development on marketing and presentation materials for customer meetings, seminars, and conferences.
  • Help maintain the internal client database and catalog opportunities across past, current, and prospective projects.
  • Contribute to sales and business development reporting, including CRM administration.
  • Support the development, editing, and coordination of proposals, presentations, and other sales collateral.
  • Help develop new channels for generating proposal leads.
  • Conduct qualification calls with prospective clients for the Sales team.
  • Manage inbound Marketing Qualified Leads by following up with prospects and routing them to the appropriate Account Executive.
  • Take on additional duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least five years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with effective coordination skills.
