Auto Claims Appraiser – Hybrid

Description

  • Inspect vehicle damage and prepare or review repair estimates
  • Virtually assess structural, body, mechanical, and interior damage
  • Create comprehensive damage reports and repair estimates with specialized software
  • Maintain appraisal records, photographs, and claim-related communications
  • Interpret insurance policies to evaluate coverage and liability
  • Negotiate fair settlements with repair facilities and customers in line with company policies
  • Coordinate with customers, repair shops, and insurance adjusters throughout each claim
  • Deliver customer service and respond to client questions and concerns
  • Monitor industry developments, repair methods, and emerging vehicle models
  • Apply current repair technology and estimating practices

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Vehicle repair knowledge gained through repair facility work, appraisal duties, or collision repair coursework is preferred
  • I-CAR certification is highly beneficial
  • Experience with CCC, Mitchell, or Audatex estimating systems is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance policies, coverage determinations, and claims procedures is beneficial
  • Strong customer service abilities and professional written and verbal communication are highly beneficial
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are beneficial
  • Maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record when driving a personal or company vehicle
  • Obtain and retain state adjuster or appraiser licenses where required
