Accounts Payable Analyst (Remote, Brazil)
Join Helppi as an Accounts Payable Analyst supporting a B2B marketplace that connects companies with independent professionals. Improve AP/AR operations through payment controls, reconciliation automation, and AI-enabled financial workflows.
Description
- Process supplier and partner payments accurately, on schedule, and with all required approvals.
- Reconcile bank activity and classify accounts payable transactions for accounting purposes.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and prepare metrics for business decisions.
- Trace discrepancies and exceptions to their root causes, then recommend preventive improvements.
- Automate payment reconciliation and verification with AI agents.
- Help develop accounts payable controls that support the company’s growth.
- Provide accounts receivable support through team rotation and coverage.
- Monitor payment SLA performance, error rates, accounts payable rework, and adoption of automated AP/AR reconciliation.
Requirements
- Bring at least three years of hands-on experience with accounts payable, bank reconciliation, and accounting classification.
- Use Excel or Google Sheets at an advanced level, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
- Have experience working with financial ERP systems.
- Demonstrate strong organization, attention to detail, and reliable deadline management.
- Communicate clearly with different teams to coordinate work and resolve exceptions.
- Work independently to investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement resolutions.
- Show interest in automation, emerging technologies, and new industry trends.
- Be motivated to grow with the company.
- Be available for remote work and occasional in-person meetings.
- Hold or be pursuing higher education in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of accounts receivable is advantageous.
- Experience with reconciliation automation or RPA is advantageous.
- Experience in a technology company, marketplace, or high-volume payments platform is advantageous.
- Experience processing service-provider payments and managing tax withholdings is advantageous.
- Practical experience using AI or AI agents at work is advantageous.
- Experience in a fast-growing company is advantageous.
- Experience with Omie is advantageous.
- Have advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
- Knowledge of Power BI or comparable business intelligence tools.
- Knowledge of AI and automation tools used in finance, plus basic familiarity with tax and compliance processes for payments and collections.
