- Lead first-line financial crime across Operations and Product, covering onboarding, due diligence, risk assessment, screening, fraud, transaction monitoring, investigations and offboarding.
- Define the financial crime strategy and execution plan for first-line teams.
- Adapt the organisation, staffing and delivery model to support business growth.
- Build and direct financial crime leadership across Operations and Product.
- Develop managers, clarify accountability, set priorities and resolve delivery dependencies.
- Ensure first-line controls work effectively and partner with Compliance and entity leaders to close gaps.
- Manage operational results while balancing investigation quality, timely decisions, customer experience and cost.
- Prioritise financial crime technology and steer build-versus-buy choices.
- Prepare for new products and jurisdictions by establishing controls, systems and operational capacity.
- Guide automation and AI adoption with testing, human oversight, evaluation and clear ownership.
- Keep senior leaders informed about control effectiveness, performance, significant issues and decisions needed.
- Support audits and regulatory reviews, and lead operational responses to significant issues.
- Report to the Group Chief Operating Officer.
आवश्यकताएँ
- Demonstrated leadership of first-line financial crime covering fraud, AML and sanctions at scale across multiple jurisdictions in a fintech, neobank or bank.
- Practical experience developing financial crime controls and products from an early stage, spanning deposits, withdrawals and the broader payments lifecycle.
- Experience leading managers across operational, product or technical teams, with clear accountability and measurable outcomes.
- Strong operational performance management skills, including backlogs, service levels, quality assurance, capacity planning and cost, with sound customer experience trade-offs.
- Experience prioritising financial crime technology and making build-or-buy decisions based on risk reduction, cost and delivery effort.
- Sound judgement in AML, sanctions and fraud, translating policy and risk appetite into practical first-line controls.
- A practical, well-governed approach to automation and AI in financial crime operations, including model testing, human oversight and performance monitoring.
- Experience preparing new product or market launches with Compliance, Product and local leadership.
- Confidence presenting to executive leaders and supporting regulatory reviews and audits.
- ICA or CAMS certification is an advantage.
- Exposure to online trading or digital assets.
