- Lead and develop a Board Support Package software engineering team through mentoring and team growth.
- Recruit and staff engineers from entry level through experienced roles.
- Support employees’ professional growth with coaching and regular performance feedback.
- Work with engineers, engineering leaders, program managers, and shared services to deliver BSP software solutions.
- Direct BSP software development in line with customer needs and product line strategy.
- Champion sound software development lifecycle practices.
- Contribute technical expertise and strategic guidance to pursuit and proposal work.
- Allocate resources across programs to meet schedules and business needs.
- Track program performance using earned value management.
- Ensure work complies with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry practices.
- Improve processes and operational efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership from pursuit through development, release, and long-term product sustainment.
आवश्यकताएँ
- A STEM degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and at least 7 years of experience.
- An active, transferable U.S. government Secret clearance is required before starting.
- U.S. citizenship is required because security clearance eligibility is limited to U.S. citizens.
- At least 5 years leading engineering teams, including mentoring, delegating work, and collaborating across functions in a technical development setting.
- Program execution experience, including bidding, project planning, Earned Value Management (EVM), and risk and opportunity management.
- At least 5 years of embedded software development experience.
- Experience with embedded operating systems such as Linux, Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks, and/or LynxOS.
- Agile development experience is preferred.
- Experience managing large programs is preferred.
- Experience working with certification authorities is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% per year.
