Senior Corporate Counsel
Lead global compliance and cross-border legal work for 1inch. Advise its DeFi business on corporate, employment, privacy and regulatory matters.

- Build and maintain the group’s compliance framework, including KYC/KYB, AML/CFT, sanctions, third-party due diligence, ethics, policies and controls.
- Make risk-based compliance decisions and oversee investigations, coordinating responses to regulators, law enforcement, fraud, scams and other high-risk matters.
- Track compliance risks, lead remediation and report to RiskCo, ExCo and relevant boards.
- Manage compliance vendors, tools and processes, and strengthen compliance awareness across the organization.
- Advise on corporate, commercial and cross-border matters, including group structure, entity management, governance, intercompany arrangements, transactions and international expansion.
- Provide legal advice across jurisdictions, including DIFC and UAE operations, and coordinate external counsel.
- Support board and shareholder matters and oversee corporate and statutory obligations.
- Serve as the main legal adviser to People and HR on employment matters, contractor models, employee relations, investigations and terminations.
- Advise on global workforce arrangements and cross-border employment, ensuring contracts, policies and practices meet local requirements.
- Draft, review and negotiate vendor, customer, partner and other commercial agreements.
- Advise on data protection and privacy obligations across international operations.
- Set global policies, turn legal requirements into practical controls, and identify and mitigate material legal risks.

- At least eight years of relevant legal experience.
- A university law degree, such as an LLB, JD or equivalent.
- A professional legal qualification or authorization to practise in at least one recognized jurisdiction.
- Strong corporate, commercial and employment law experience in international, cross-border settings.
- Experience advising People or HR teams and organizations operating across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
- Experience owning or running compliance frameworks.
- Practical knowledge of KYC/KYB, AML/CFT, sanctions and third-party due diligence.
- Strong commercial contracting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of data protection and privacy requirements for international organizations.
- Sound legal judgment and the ability to turn complex requirements into practical, business-focused solutions.
- Experience with DIFC or UAE law and regulations.
- Experience in DeFi or crypto.
- Experience building or scaling compliance frameworks across jurisdictions and working with regulators, law enforcement or external investigators.
- Experience with international corporate restructurings, investments or mergers and acquisitions.
- An ICA, ACAMS, CIPP or equivalent compliance or privacy qualification.
