- Manage medical coding specialists who perform accurate, timely audits across multiple specialties
- Coach, train, and mentor coding team members
- Coordinate coding workflows, assign priorities, and maintain productivity and quality standards
- Share updates on coding guidelines, payer policies, and relevant industry developments
- Perform recurring audits and quality reviews to verify coding accuracy, compliance, and documentation standards
- Partner with analytics, repricing, quality, and compliance teams
- Track key performance indicators and create initiatives to improve results
- Use payment integrity processes to uncover claim and documentation errors and support maximum revenue capture
- Act as the subject matter expert for multi-specialty surgery coding and payment integrity
आवश्यकताएँ
- Bachelor’s degree in clinical, healthcare information management, or a related discipline
- Mandatory professional certification such as CPC, CIC, or CCS for DRG coding
- Substantial medical coding experience with a focus on DRG coding
- Advanced knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding systems
- Experience using coding applications and electronic health record systems
- Strong analytical judgment and problem-solving ability
- Clear interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
- Careful, accuracy-focused approach with a strong commitment to regulatory compliance
- Ability to work autonomously, organize competing priorities, and deliver under tight deadlines
- Working knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, CMS, Medicare, LCDs, NCDs, medical policies, and commercial payer processes and requirements
