Fraud Operations Analyst - Malaysia Remote
Investigate transaction alerts, chargebacks, and financial crime for Wirex’s digital-money platform. Monitor fraud patterns and strengthen detection controls across a global fintech customer base.

- Detect, prevent, and mitigate fraud, chargebacks, and other financial crime.
- Assess suspicious and system-generated transaction alerts using established fraud rules and guidelines.
- Monitor live transaction queues for high-risk activity and developing fraud trends.
- Examine customer behaviour and transaction patterns to uncover anomalies.
- Investigate card-not-present, compromised-account, third-party, and friendly fraud.
- Manage rule-based fraud engines, including rule design, testing, and A/B testing.
- Support fraud KPI data discovery and operational performance reporting.
- Prepare and file Suspicious Activity Reports when required.
- Assess major fraud risks and propose measures to reduce exposure.
- Recommend improvements to fraud systems, analytics, and operations.
- Support projects that enhance fraud detection and operational efficiency.
- Protect the organisation’s financial interests while maintaining customer and stakeholder trust.
आवश्यकताएँ
- At least three years of fraud or financial crime experience in banking or fintech.
- Experience investigating fraud cases such as investment scams or authorised push payment fraud is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and investigative capabilities, combined with meticulous attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of crypto, online payment processing, and payment platforms.
- Strong technical proficiency with Excel, SQL, Microsoft Office, and PowerPoint.
- Comfort working in high-volume, fast-paced operating environments.
- Ability to turn complex data analysis into clear insights and practical recommendations.
- Experience using fraud platforms such as Checkout, Chainalysis, or comparable tools is beneficial.
- Statistical analysis experience is advantageous.
- Chargeback investigation experience is advantageous.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Submit resumes in English.
- Willingness and ability to work a five-days-on, two-days-off roster, including permanent weekend work.
