Tavsif

  • Inventory and document enterprise data across applications, databases, files, reporting platforms, and third-party systems
  • Identify authoritative sources and systems of record for critical business information
  • Create and maintain data inventories, catalogs, glossaries, metadata repositories, and data dictionaries
  • Evaluate data quality, completeness, consistency, availability, and usage
  • Analyze data movement across applications, interfaces, APIs, databases, files, and reporting environments
  • Record end-to-end data flows, transformations, handoffs, dependencies, and consumption points
  • Identify process gaps, redundancies, control weaknesses, and data-related risks
  • Partner with architects and technology teams on data movement and integration work
  • Contribute to impact assessments for enhancements, migrations, integrations, and new initiatives
  • Gather business needs and convert them into functional and data requirements
  • Develop specifications, use cases, business rules, process flows, data mappings, and acceptance criteria
  • Coordinate communication between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams
  • Contribute to data governance, ownership, stewardship, classification, retention, and accountability efforts
  • Recommend standards for data quality, metadata, reference data, and master data
  • Support data initiatives related to audits, regulations, privacy, risk, and compliance
  • Review and interpret conceptual, logical, and physical data models
  • Maintain enterprise data architecture documentation, standards, and reusable materials
  • Present findings, recommendations, risks, and options to managers and project stakeholders
  • Lead workshops and encourage data literacy throughout the organization
  • Follow risk, regulatory, internal control, audit, and compliance requirements
  • Help foster a workplace that supports belonging and represents the M&T Bank brand
  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned

Talablar

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of related experience, or a combination of at least nine years of higher education and/or work experience that includes five years of related experience
  • At least five years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, data governance, data management, information management, or a related field
  • Solid knowledge of data management principles and the data lifecycle
  • Experience documenting business, functional, and data requirements
  • Experience evaluating data flows, system interfaces, and application dependencies
  • Ability to communicate clearly with business and technology audiences
  • Strong analytical, organizational, facilitation, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Intermediate ability to access and retrieve data directly from databases or through APIs
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts
  • Ability to use query languages and analysis tools to inspect, validate, reconcile, and interpret data
  • Working knowledge of multiple database systems, including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, IBM Db2, or cloud data platforms
  • Ability to interpret entity-relationship diagrams and conceptual, logical, and physical data models
  • Knowledge of data dictionaries, metadata, lineage, quality, master data, reference data, governance, and related tools
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, reporting, integration, and data transformation concepts
  • Understanding of data work within workflow platforms such as Appian
  • Experience in the financial services industry
