Director of Distinguished Events Programs – American Cancer Society (Remote)
Lead nationwide Distinguished Events fundraising programs for the American Cancer Society. Drive multimillion-dollar revenue, donor engagement, volunteer leadership, and enterprise-wide event strategy.
Tavsif
- Execute the enterprise vision and strategy for a high-performing events portfolio with a multimillion-dollar fundraising target.
- Collaborate with department and program leaders on strategies that increase fundraising-event revenue and engagement.
- Work with leaders, event staff, volunteers, and partners to achieve revenue goals.
- Coach and support staff responsible for volunteer leadership, sponsorship, event experience, and stewardship.
- Direct program-specific projects and initiatives across the enterprise.
- Use data and insights with marketing and operations teams to create training, collateral, and other resources.
- Generate revenue through a donor-focused approach to cultivating and stewarding high-value relationships.
- Apply consistent engagement methods and shared portfolio-management practices across markets.
- Advise market and event leaders on budgets, forecasts, ROI, and financial performance goals.
- Work with enterprise development leaders on revenue-growth strategies aligned with organizational priorities.
Talablar
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- At least eight years of fundraising experience in a large nonprofit organization.
- Experience managing diversified income portfolios for organizations with multimillion-dollar budgets is preferred.
- Extensive experience with fundraising events, volunteer management and cultivation, plus a strong understanding of market, community, and constituent experiences.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Experience leading, managing, coaching, and developing diverse teams collaboratively.
- Ability to manage several projects at the same time.
- Highly self-directed and organized, with consistent deadline management.
- Excellent verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Creative and effective problem-solving ability.
