Senior Technical Architect, Data and Analytics

Descriere

  • Lead architecture for reporting, analytics, data integration, and transaction processing solutions.
  • Turn business, operational, and regulatory needs into maintainable system designs.
  • Modernize legacy ETL, SQL, Linux/Unix scripts, and manual processes as Python applications and automation.
  • Guide architecture, development, reviews, testing, deployment, performance tuning, and production support hands-on.
  • Build proof-of-concepts to compare options and record measurable results.
  • Set architecture across web and UI, APIs and services, processing, databases, orchestration, scheduling, security, access, monitoring, and recovery.
  • Direct BI and analytics delivery, including enterprise reports, drill-downs, reconciliations, data quality, and legacy reporting upgrades.
  • Set engineering practices in Azure DevOps or equivalent, covering work items, repositories, branching, pull requests, reviews, CI/CD, release tracking, and deployment.
  • Use AI and automation with suitable governance to speed analysis, conversion, documentation, and testing.
  • Create architecture diagrams, designs, specifications, dataflow and interface documentation, roadmaps, estimates, risk records, and support models.
  • Lead and mentor architecture, data engineering, ETL, BI, modeling, analysis, and testing teams.
  • Present architecture choices, risks, and recommendations to customer stakeholders and Optum leaders.

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 10 years of information technology experience.
  • Senior-level application, solution, technical, or data architecture experience with large enterprise systems.
  • Experience building enterprise data warehouse, reporting, analytics, and claims or transaction-processing solutions from the ground up.
  • Hands-on Python development and advanced SQL skills.
  • Experience with automation, data processing, troubleshooting, and code review.
  • Experience designing application architecture across APIs, services, web components, databases, security, access, scheduling, monitoring, and environment management.
  • Hands-on BI and reporting experience with BusinessObjects, Power BI, Tableau, SAS, or similar enterprise tools.
  • Experience implementing source control, branching, pull requests, CI/CD, and automated deployment in Azure DevOps or a comparable platform.
  • Experience leading BI, data, and engineering teams.
  • Strong writing, speaking, and presentation skills for customer and executive audiences.
  • Healthcare payer, Medicaid, managed care, or health insurance experience is a plus.
  • Federal reporting experience, particularly CMS-64, quarterly expenditure reporting, reconciliation, certification, or related state Medicaid reporting, is a plus.
  • On-premises to cloud migration experience with Azure, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake Storage, Snowflake, or comparable cloud data services is a plus.
  • ETL/ELT and data engineering experience with Informatica, Teradata, or comparable enterprise integration and large-scale MPP warehouse platforms is a plus.
  • Experience using AI-assisted engineering or automation for code conversion, source-to-target mapping, testing, documentation, and data quality under enterprise governance is a plus.
  • Experience modeling conceptual, logical, and physical data, effective-dated reference data, dimensional models, and transaction lineage is a plus.
  • Linux/Unix scripting and job orchestration experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, PHI, PII, security architecture, and public-sector compliance expectations is a plus.
  • An advanced degree or relevant architecture, cloud, data, or agile certifications is a plus.
