PHP Developer

Develop and maintain PHP applications for GDIT’s EPA web projects, including migration, testing, and ongoing support. The client-facing role works across JavaScript, APIs, and databases.

Descriere

  • Build, deploy, test, and maintain PHP websites and applications.
  • Work regularly with endpoints and APIs.
  • Review application features with customers to establish requirements.
  • Apply improvements as applications are migrated.
  • Monitor and maintain applications after migration.
  • Prepare outage contingency plans and support reliable usability and connectivity.
  • Translate customer needs into websites that meet moderately complex specifications.
  • Coordinate with graphic and web designers.
  • Test applications thoroughly and prepare them for production.
  • Plan and deliver website updates without disrupting service.
  • Develop new features using relevant programming skills.
  • Guide and support less-experienced web developers.
  • Coordinate work across client and contractor teams.
  • Serve as a primary technical contact for clients, software developers, and technical staff.

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree, technical training, certification, or equivalent degree.
  • At least three years of experience in computer science or information technology.
  • At least three years of hands-on PHP web development experience.
  • At least three years of hands-on JavaScript development experience.
  • Moderate experience with Oracle Database, SQL Server, MySQL, or a comparable database.
  • Practical experience with Bitbucket (Git) or another version control system.
  • Experience optimizing data entry and forms, and analyzing or improving Oracle database data.
  • Familiarity with the Administrator role in a cPanel environment.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
  • Ability to supervise people and processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to apply process improvement practices and document processes effectively.
  • Ability to provide direct client support independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects, tasks, and deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Good organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Must meet the NACI (T1) public trust requirement.
  • Familiarity with AWS or Azure is preferred.
  • Federal contracting experience is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with ITIL and Agile processes is beneficial.
