Senior Juniper Resident Engineer - Service Provider
Senior Juniper Resident Engineer supporting customer Service Provider networks for Comgent. The role covers routing, MPLS, VPN, and Juniper platform troubleshooting in a hybrid Almaty engagement.
Descriere
- Deliver post-sales, on-site engineering support within the customer’s network environment
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor and Juniper subject matter expert
- Contribute to the design, implementation, operation, optimisation, troubleshooting, and ongoing development of the customer’s Service Provider network
- Provide on-site technical assistance for Juniper Service Provider network environments
- Support network design, implementation, migration, upgrades, and optimisation initiatives
- Resolve complex routing, MPLS, VPN, and platform-related incidents
- Manage and monitor JTAC cases, Product Reports (PRs), software fixes, and RMAs
- Test and verify new designs, software releases, patches, and features before production rollout
- Prepare implementation plans, Methods of Procedure (MOPs), rollback plans, and technical documentation
- Create network automation scripts and operational tools
- Lead technical workshops, knowledge-transfer sessions, and training for customer engineering teams
- Carry out configuration reviews, network health checks, risk assessments, and best-practice evaluations
- Prepare recurring technical reports, status updates, and documentation
- Maintain reliable and efficient Juniper solutions aligned with industry and Juniper best practices
Cerințe
- Advanced knowledge of Juniper products and technologies used in the customer environment
- Strong Service Provider networking expertise, including routing, MPLS, MPLS VPN, L3VPN, L2VPN, VPLS, BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, and related technologies
- Experience supporting Juniper MX, PTX, and other relevant routing and switching platforms
- Experience building network automation scripts and operational tools with Python, Ansible, or comparable technologies
- Proven ability to resolve complex routing, MPLS, VPN, and platform-related issues
- Capability to manage and track JTAC cases, Product Reports (PRs), software fixes, and RMAs
- Ability to produce implementation plans, Methods of Procedure (MOPs), rollback plans, and technical documentation
- Ability to deliver technical workshops, knowledge transfer, and training to customer engineering teams
- Ability to conduct configuration reviews, network health checks, risk assessments, and best-practice evaluations
- Contract freelance engagement with a hybrid working arrangement in Almaty, Kazakhstan
