Senior Analytics Engineer, SailPoint
Build dbt, BigQuery, and Tableau foundations for SailPoint’s HR and people analytics. Standardize workforce metrics, protect personal data, and support AI-assisted reporting.
Descriere
- Create and maintain modular dbt models in BigQuery.
- Tune SQL queries and BigQuery models for performance and cost efficiency.
- Build and support ingestion pipelines from source systems and SaaS applications, including Workday.
- Develop and monitor orchestration and schedules for data workflows.
- Establish consistent business metrics for headcount, attrition, and recruiting funnels.
- Set up dbt tests and documentation, and contribute to code reviews.
- Apply privacy and access controls to sensitive and personal data, including Row-Level Security.
- Create and maintain Tableau data sources and operational and executive dashboards.
- Administer Tableau permissions, publishing workflows, and refresh schedules.
- Prepare workforce analytics and forecasting datasets, including for attrition and recruiting capacity planning.
- Explore and help implement AI-assisted analytics with BigQuery and Google Gemini.
- Investigate data issues from source to destination and resolve root causes.
- Contribute to CI/CD, version control, deployment practices, modeling standards, naming conventions, and reusable patterns.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and scope data products and visualizations.
- Lead analytics projects from stakeholder requirements through certified Tableau dashboards.
- Improve query and dbt model performance to shorten processing time and reduce warehouse costs.
- Coordinate prototypes for AI-assisted queries by business users.
- Expand analytics support beyond HR as team priorities change.
Cerințe
- Bring 5–8 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a similar role.
- Demonstrate advanced SQL skills, including window functions, CTEs, and query performance tuning.
- Have practical experience building and maintaining dbt models, tests, macros, and documentation.
- Have experience with a cloud data warehouse, preferably BigQuery.
- Have experience building or supporting data pipelines and using orchestration tools such as Airflow, Cloud Composer, or similar.
- Have hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud, including published data sources, calculated fields, parameters, and Row-Level Security.
- Have worked with sensitive or personal data and applied privacy and access controls.
- Use Git proficiently and be familiar with CI/CD workflows.
- Understand dimensional modeling, star schemas, granularity, and slowly changing dimensions.
- Have experience gathering business user requirements and translating them into data solutions.
- Bring strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Communicate clearly in writing and conversation, including explaining technical concepts to nontechnical and executive audiences.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in a STEM, business, or related field, or have equivalent experience (preferred).
- Have experience with HR or workforce data.
- Have experience with Workday data, including custom reports or integrations.
- Have used AI tools for analytical querying or AI-assisted self-service reporting.
- Have Python experience for data pipelines, automation, or analysis.
- Have experience with data ingestion tools such as Fivetran, Airbyte, or similar.
- Be familiar with Google Cloud Platform services beyond BigQuery.
- Have experience in a SaaS or cybersecurity environment.
