Senior AI Software Engineer
Build Python-based AI agents for Muck Rack’s PR intelligence platform, from LLM workflows to customer-facing features. Develop MCP tools and improve agent quality, speed, and cost in production.
Descriere
- Develop tools, prompts, safeguards, and memory-enabled multi-turn workflows for agents that take action.
- Shape agent behavior so it can act, ask questions, or hand work to people.
- Create in-product chat, streaming responses, permission-aware APIs, and Muck Rack’s external MCP server.
- Build evaluations, detect regressions, and use production feedback to improve quality, latency, and cost.
- Guide platform choices for building, deploying, and operating agents as the product scales.
- Take features from concept to production across the Python agent runtime, MCP server, and Django/Vue application.
- Work with emerging models to address real customer needs.
- Travel up to 10% for team collaboration, customer meetings, and company events.
- Attend the annual company offsite, usually held in Mexico.
Cerințe
- Bring 7+ years of experience building production software.
- Have fluent Python skills, including asynchronous programming, and experience with FastAPI, FastMCP, or Django.
- Have shipped LLM-powered features or agents to customers, including exposing tools through MCP.
- Understand prompting, tool use, context management, and common model failure modes.
- Have experience measuring AI quality and improving it through feedback.
- Design strong APIs and tools, including authentication and authorization.
- Use AI tools proactively in daily work to improve productivity and speed delivery.
- Be able to overlap working hours with US time zones, preferably Eastern.
- Experience with agent frameworks such as Pydantic AI, LangGraph, or the OpenAI Agents SDK.
- Familiarity with MCP servers and LLM tooling.
- Knowledge of AI evaluation tools and methods, including DeepEval and LLM-as-judge.
- Experience with streaming interfaces, server-sent events, and Vue.js.
- Experience with LLM observability.
- Knowledge of AI security, including defenses against prompt injection and tenant isolation.
