Descriere

  • Create and assess models for personalized college, career, and pathway recommendations
  • Use statistical methods, machine learning, and generative AI to test and improve products
  • Assess model performance, fairness, bias, and appropriate use
  • Plan data collection to capture student behavior, performance, and engagement
  • Interpret pilot and user-study results and turn findings into product guidance
  • Set metrics and design experiments to assess recommendation quality and product impact
  • Work with engineers on scalable, cloud-based data pipelines
  • Advance models from prototypes into production
  • Combine student, education, assessment, skills, career, and labor-market data
  • Set up practices for data security, model documentation, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance
  • Create recommendations that work with incomplete student data and adjust as information changes
  • Use behavioral and performance data to power personalized, adaptive product experiences
  • Present model outputs so stakeholders can understand and act on them
  • Work with colleagues in product, engineering, research, design, and business
  • Turn research and business needs into data collection plans and technical solutions
  • Explain analytical findings, assumptions, risks, and tradeoffs to technical and nontechnical audiences

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, economics, operations research, or a related quantitative field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least three years of applied data science experience, including building statistical or machine-learning models and analyzing product experiments, pilots, or user studies
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Experience building scalable data pipelines
  • Experience taking data products or models from prototype toward production
  • Strong skills in statistical modeling, machine learning, experimental design, and model evaluation
  • Experience with scalable data pipelines, cloud environments, and integrating complex data sources
  • Experience using behavioral and performance data to create personalized product experiences
  • Knowledge of responsible AI, including fairness, bias mitigation, transparency, privacy, and appropriate use
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills
  • Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • A master’s degree in data science or a related field is preferred
  • Experience with recommender systems, generative AI, natural language processing, or personalized and adaptive systems is preferred
  • Experience with education, assessment, career, workforce, labor-market, occupational, or skills data is preferred
  • Completion of the ACT National Career Readiness Certificate is recommended
  • Finalists must pass a criminal background check as a condition of employment
