Maintain, diagnose, and repair Sunbelt Rentals construction and specialty equipment as a road mechanic. Perform preventive maintenance to keep rental fleets working and reduce downtime.

Descriere

  • Carry out preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Diagnose equipment issues and complete repairs safely to limit downtime
  • Service a range of equipment makes and models in challenging, remote locations
  • Support aerial work platforms, construction tools, generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil and gas equipment
  • Follow safety practices in all work
  • Handle other related duties as needed

Cerințe

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Trade school or equivalent training is preferred
  • Three to five years of mechanic experience with diesel, heavy construction, or specialty equipment is strongly preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
  • Applicants may need to be at least 21 and hold a CDL, depending on location
  • Mechanic’s tools may be required
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and basic troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and basic troubleshooting
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Spanish or another language may be required depending on local needs
  • Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, lift at least 50 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors as needed
