Remote Bookkeeper – Xero, Shopify and Australian Payroll

Descriere

  • Oversee daily Xero bookkeeping and bank reconciliations, including Shopify transactions, payouts, and supporting records.
  • Maintain the Shopify–Xero integration and ensure transactions are recorded and reconciled accurately.
  • Allocate general ledger items, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and prepare month-end reports.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies, unusual transactions, and potential issues promptly.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier invoices, customer payments, and overdue balances.
  • Keep accurate records for multiple business entities.
  • Support GST and BAS tasks and keep related records current and accurate.
  • Use Excel for financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Support payroll for factory and office staff, handling timesheets, leave, superannuation, PAYG, and STP.
  • Maintain payroll records and help resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with routine bookkeeping, financial reporting, and daily finance tasks.
  • Coordinate with the Office Manager on financial matters and accounting needs.
  • Find ways to improve bookkeeping processes, accuracy, and efficiency.

Cerințe

  • Advanced Xero expertise is essential.
  • Practical experience with Shopify and its integration with Xero.
  • Preferably five or more years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience.
  • Experience supporting Australian businesses or clients.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Sound problem-solving skills and initiative.
  • Experience managing multiple business entities.
  • Strong background in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.
  • Experience with Australian GST, BAS, and payroll.
  • Experience preparing month-end reports and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • Excellent organisation and time management.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to align with Australian business hours, approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
  • Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work.
  • List the engagement on LinkedIn as “Independent Contractor.”
