Descriere

  • Oversee legal matters in Cluj and align legal strategy with organisational goals.
  • Advise the Cluj Leadership Team with practical, commercially focused guidance.
  • Advise and support the business on employment law.
  • Provide guidance on litigation, intellectual property, governance, and other legal matters.
  • Work with the People team on company policies, employee relations, and local labour law compliance.
  • Build trusted working relationships with the Global Legal Team and legal teams across other hubs.
  • Connect with global stakeholders, leadership, and teams throughout Cluj.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain commercial, service, technology, supplier, consultancy, and employment contracts.
  • Lead or support contract lifecycle activities, including renewals, terminations, amendments, and enforcement.
  • Integrate GDPR and regulatory compliance into contract templates and business practices.
  • Assess new laws and regulatory developments, and explain their implications.
  • Guide teams proactively through regulatory changes.
  • Assess the legal implications of strategic and commercial decisions.
  • Help develop and automate processes to improve efficiency.
  • Manage external legal providers to deliver comprehensive, cost-effective support.
  • Coordinate with regulators, auditors, and legal counsel in Romania and other jurisdictions.
  • Represent Flutter Group’s legal interests in external communications.
  • Promote and actively support Flutter’s culture.

Cerințe

  • Be a qualified lawyer.
  • Have at least eight years of post-qualification experience.
  • Bring substantial experience, ideally including international work, in a technology-driven sector.
  • Have experience in commercial contracts, intellectual property, employment law, data protection, and litigation.
  • Demonstrate a record of advising large businesses on complex legal issues in a dynamic, fast-paced organisation.
  • Show the confidence and maturity to handle complex and challenging situations effectively.
  • Have worked at a multinational organisation or highly regarded law firm, including experience as an in-house lawyer.
  • Bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Translate complex legal and regulatory requirements, explain the trade-offs between solutions, and maintain a commercial focus.
  • Be confident challenging senior business stakeholders.
  • Work independently as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment and manage a varied workload.
  • Have extensive experience managing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Have a strong grounding in corporate, commercial, and employment law.
  • Have advanced spoken and written English.
  • Maintain high ethical standards and personal integrity.
  • Be resourceful, proactive, and self-directed.
  • Be curious, open to learning, and committed to professional development.
  • Use emotional intelligence, diplomacy, and tact in difficult conversations.
