Civils and Drainage Design and Engineering Manager

Lead the development of Marshalls’ Civils and Drainage engineered solutions, including bespoke precast concrete products for energy, water and infrastructure projects across the UK.

Descriere

  • Help develop and transform Marshalls Civils and Drainage, with a focus on engineered solutions.
  • Coordinate with engineering, design, operations, manufacturing, commercial and project teams.
  • Improve processes, systems, data and working practices.
  • Contribute engineering expertise to bespoke precast concrete solutions for major energy, water management, wastewater and infrastructure projects.
  • Provide project and technical support for bespoke precast element development.
  • Interpret customer needs and project specifications.
  • Develop practical engineering solutions that can be manufactured and delivered commercially.
  • Report to the Head of Design and Engineering.

Cerințe

  • Experience in a civil or structural design and technical setting, such as a consultancy, design-and-build contractor, or building products design and manufacturing business.
  • Qualifications in civil engineering, structural engineering or construction; a degree is preferred.
  • Accreditation with a professional body such as IStructE or ICE.
  • Working knowledge of Eurocode 2 design (EN 1992 Part 1-1).
  • Extensive knowledge of reinforced and precast concrete design and loading is an advantage.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and structural engineering and modelling software; experience with SCIA and Allplan is ideal.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate and build relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to adapt and respond to change.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate yourself and others to meet project deadlines.
