Descriere

  • Guide fleet safety and compliance strategy across ASPCA programs, mobile clinics, and field operations.
  • Keep ASPCA vehicles and drivers aligned with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Identify fleet risks and build practices that strengthen a culture of safety.
  • Create safety training for ASPCA drivers.
  • Help investigate and respond to fleet incidents, accidents, and compliance questions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Review electronic logging device records, temperature logs, and related reports.
  • Arrange routine and preventive maintenance for fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Assess vehicle purchase requests to support safe, efficient operations.
  • Oversee DOT filings and reports for vehicles and drivers.
  • Gather information and prepare draft responses for audits and compliance inquiries.
  • Keep driver rosters, registrations, driver records, and qualification files current.
  • Check motor vehicle records and resolve identified deficiencies.
  • Guide drivers and fleet coordinators on commercial vehicle rules.
  • Create fleet safety procedures, documentation, best practices, and training materials.
  • Build working relationships with government agencies, control organizations, vendors, and service providers.
  • Contribute to annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Take part in the ASPCA Vehicle and Transport Safety Committee.
  • Report to the Vice President of Safety; the position has no direct reports.
  • Travel up to 30% each year to ASPCA facilities and periodically take weekend on-call shifts with the Safety Team.

Cerințe

  • Strong command of applicable laws and regulations, including DOT requirements and federal and state fleet safety guidance.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, implement, and improve fleet safety and compliance programs across multiple locations.
  • Ability to design and deliver fleet safety and compliance training across an organization.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to manage projects, deadlines, schedules, and competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work across departments and functions.
  • Ability to drive fleet vehicles weighing up to 26,000 pounds when needed.
  • Valid driver’s license at hire and a safe driving record, verified through a motor vehicle history check.
  • Ability to obtain and provide a DOT Medical Certificate.
  • Ability to provide a Driver Qualification File that meets DOT and FMCSA requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • At least four years of professional fleet safety and compliance experience, including managing commercial motor vehicles and commercial driver’s license drivers.
  • Experience developing and maintaining fleet safety management systems and compliance records.
  • English proficiency required.
