Apraksts

  • Work with engineering and product teams to build and launch AI applications on Target’s enterprise platform.
  • Create production AI solutions with generative AI, large language models, agentic architectures, retrieval, model APIs, tools, and platform services.
  • Turn unclear business and engineering challenges into technical designs and working software.
  • Guide implementations from initial exploration and prototypes through architecture, development, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and operations.
  • Use software engineering and distributed systems practices to deliver scalable, reliable, secure, maintainable AI solutions.
  • Integrate AI Platform capabilities and identify shortcomings through real-world use.
  • Turn recurring solutions into reusable platform features, APIs, SDKs, libraries, frameworks, templates, and reference architectures.
  • Improve the AI development experience across building, experimentation, testing, evaluation, debugging, deployment, and operations.
  • Create reference implementations and examples that support enterprise AI adoption.
  • Research and assess emerging AI technologies, frameworks, models, and developer tools through proofs of concept.
  • Lead code and design reviews, testing, debugging, and architecture discussions.
  • Investigate complex production and integration problems and develop ways to prevent them.
  • Work with platform and application engineering, product, architecture, data science, and other teams.
  • Share technical lessons and practices with the wider engineering community.
  • Mentor engineers and guide implementation through software designs, advice, reviews, and technical coaching.

Prasības

  • A four-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of software development experience.
  • Strong practical engineering and programming skills.
  • Experience designing, building, testing, deploying, and operating production applications, services, or distributed systems.
  • Experience creating AI applications with LLMs, model APIs, agentic frameworks, retrieval and context patterns, tool integrations, or other modern AI capabilities.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language.
  • Experience building services and applications with modern frameworks and engineering practices.
  • Experience designing and using APIs, SDKs, libraries, frameworks, or platform capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems, APIs, scalability, reliability, performance, security, and production operations.
  • Experience with cloud-native development, containers, orchestration, CI/CD, observability, testing, debugging, and operational monitoring.
  • Ability to turn ambiguous requirements into technical designs and working software.
  • Ability to contribute across the full engineering lifecycle.
  • Ability to assess technical tradeoffs.
  • Strong problem-solving ability.
  • Experience working with product teams and engineers across organizational and technical boundaries.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts and influence design decisions.
  • Ability to mentor engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Keeps technical knowledge current, particularly in AI and software engineering.
