Aprašymas

  • Maintain continuous virtual observation of designated patients under the direction of a registered nurse or virtual registered nurse
  • Track changes in patients’ physical, emotional, and mental status
  • Communicate patient conditions and updates to bedside and virtual nursing teams
  • Identify and report behavioral changes
  • Record observations in the electronic health record
  • Respond to unsafe events through alarms or verbal redirection
  • Observe patients placed in seclusion or restraint
  • Coordinate with bedside and virtual nursing staff on patient safety plans
  • Review work-area processes and contribute to ongoing service improvements
  • Follow applicable legal and regulatory requirements
  • Locate and order RSO carts when needed
  • Assign workstations for each shift
  • Receive handoffs from bedside nurses and relay observation details to assigned RSOs
  • Support bedside teams with cart setup, audio/video troubleshooting, and cart removal

Reikalavimai

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Inpatient hospital experience preferred
  • Current enrollment in a nursing or medical program strongly preferred
  • North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry listing preferred; candidates not meeting this preference at hire must begin the process within one year and complete it within two years
  • Complete or maintain BLS certification by the end of new-hire orientation
  • CPI certification strongly preferred
  • Technology proficiency
  • Basic first aid and CPR knowledge, with the ability to provide assistance when needed
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Ability to protect patient confidentiality and rights
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Physical strength and stamina
  • Working knowledge of sanitation, hygiene, infection control, health and safety precautions, behavioral principles, and routine patient care
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with patients and hospital staff
  • Ability to stay composed in stressful situations
  • Ability to maintain records and prepare reports
  • Ability to identify patient emergencies and obtain assistance
  • Ability to accurately understand, follow, and communicate oral and written instructions
  • Ability to use proper body mechanics and follow safety practices
