Create and implement management reports covering financial results, membership, contracts, and fulfillment.
Oversee underwriting, pricing, and contracting activities to support appropriate rates and policy terms.
Manage underwriting workflows to meet or surpass turnaround targets.
Recruit, hire, train, and lead high-performing underwriting teams.
Administer the employee performance review process.
Manage budgets for designated cost centers.
Act as Premera’s primary contact for underwriting policy information.
Partner with sales and account management on presentations and negotiations.
Build and maintain pricing data and contract-generation systems.
Help senior leaders maintain policies and procedures and shape work-unit strategy.
Validate internal data, investigate issues, and develop corrective solutions.

Талаптар

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, or four years of professional experience.
At least five years of experience in underwriting, regulatory work, or health insurance consulting.
Prior experience in underwriting.
Proven ability to lead complex business cases and projects.
Strong knowledge of the health insurance industry and group administration or underwriting within an insurance carrier.
Highly developed negotiation and influencing abilities.
Ability to evaluate market conditions and recommend contract and underwriting enhancements.
Ability to perform essential sedentary duties, including exerting up to 10 pounds of force, with or without accommodation.
Ability to keyboard and communicate clearly and understandably in person and by telephone.
