Vice President, Real Assets Consulting

Advise institutional investors on real estate, infrastructure, farmland, and timberland investments. Lead strategic planning, manager due diligence, portfolio reviews, and client relationships for Callan.

Description

  • Lead or support Real Assets consulting engagements for approximately three to five client relationships
  • Generate more than $500,000 in annual revenue through strong client service and new business development
  • Provide investment consulting across real estate, infrastructure, farmland, and timberland
  • Formulate recommendations on asset allocation, manager structure, and investment policies
  • Perform manager due diligence, evaluations, and searches to support plan implementation
  • Track client portfolios through quarterly performance measurement and continuing manager due diligence
  • Investigate client priorities and deliver relevant, actionable guidance
  • Build specialized expertise across assigned Real Assets segments
  • Support research and thought leadership through papers, workshops, and educational seminars
  • Direct projects and initiatives that strengthen the firm’s goals and capabilities
  • Develop industry relationships and represent Callan in external engagements
  • Share knowledge with colleagues and provide collaborative guidance
  • Advance continuous learning, professional development, and high-quality client service

Requirements

  • Extensive understanding of real asset capital markets and the investment environment
  • Ability to develop well-supported viewpoints and communicate them clearly with colleagues and clients
  • Proven success sourcing and cultivating new client relationships
  • Strong collaborative working style
  • Experience managing multiple client relationships and projects at the same time
  • Clear, concise, and confident written and presentation skills
  • Genuine interest in learning and exploring new ideas
  • Highly detail-oriented, self-directed, and proactive approach
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Effectiveness in a small- to mid-sized organization
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • CFA or CAIA preferred, or progress toward either designation
  • Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; Callan cannot sponsor or assume sponsorship of an employment visa
