Technical Sales Manager – Public Safety Communications (U.S. Remote)

Lead presales strategy, technical architectures, product demonstrations, and RFP execution for Motorola Solutions’ public-safety communications technologies. This remote role supports listed U.S. locations and requires more than 50% travel across the assigned territory.

Description

  • Develop presales strategies, implementation plans, and service offerings that satisfy customer needs while supporting Motorola Solutions’ sales, revenue, and margin objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams spanning engineering, sales, service, and proposal functions.
  • Align internal business units around organizational priorities and win strategies for customer proposals.
  • Discover customer requirements and convert operational needs into complete technical system architectures.
  • Design and implement integrations between mobile video applications and wider software ecosystems.
  • Showcase core product capabilities through customer demonstrations.
  • Work with sales teams to shape technology strategies for critical communications, mission-critical devices, and command center software.
  • Oversee solution testing, configuration, and technology demonstrations.
  • Explain complex technical concepts and strategic business proposals to varied audiences.
  • Develop trusted relationships with internal leaders and external customer stakeholders.
  • Manage project timelines, complex requirements, and alternative approaches when requested capabilities cannot be delivered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus at least three years of experience in sales, engineering, presales, project or program management, or systems; alternatively, at least five years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to assess voice and data communication structures across public-safety and enterprise applications.
  • Proficiency using IP networking and security concepts to evaluate infrastructure, protocols, and security frameworks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external collaboration.
  • Experience with cloud solutions, including FedRAMP, IP networking architecture, and network security protocols.
  • Knowledge of RF coverage prediction, microwave design, traffic and capacity modeling, and related engineering tools.
  • Willingness to travel more than 50% within the assigned Midwest and West territory.
