Senior Virtualization and Orchestration Engineer

Senior engineer responsible for Kubernetes orchestration and virtualization supporting GPU-intensive AI and HPC workloads. Builds secure, scalable, multi-tenant infrastructure for an AI cloud platform.

Description

  • Design and develop virtualization infrastructure for GPU-intensive AI and HPC workloads
  • Operate Kubernetes orchestration systems for GPU cluster provisioning and workload scheduling
  • Automate GPU capacity allocation, scaling, and reclamation across multiple tenants
  • Create solutions for workload placement, resource management, and cluster lifecycle operations
  • Collaborate with hardware, networking, infrastructure, and AI platform teams
  • Strengthen orchestration platform reliability, security, scalability, and operational maturity
  • Develop tools and automation that simplify infrastructure management and improve developer and customer experiences
  • Help shape architecture, engineering standards, and technical best practices
  • Take end-to-end ownership of critical infrastructure systems

Requirements

  • Demonstrated production experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
  • Experience designing, developing, and operating large-scale infrastructure platforms
  • Background with virtualization technologies for cloud, HPC, GPU, or distributed computing environments
  • Knowledge of GPU cluster provisioning, workload scheduling, and resource management
  • Experience with Linux infrastructure and distributed systems principles
  • Ability to independently manage complex systems from initial design through production operations
  • Ability to work effectively in a rapidly evolving environment where architecture and processes are still being established
  • Preferred: experience with GPU scheduling tools such as Slurm, Kubernetes device plugins, NVIDIA GPU Operator, or comparable frameworks
  • Preferred: experience supporting AI infrastructure, machine learning platforms, HPC environments, or GPU cloud providers
  • Preferred: experience building multi-tenant infrastructure for cloud providers or large-scale compute environments
  • Preferred: experience with infrastructure automation, Infrastructure as Code, and platform engineering practices
  • Preferred: familiarity with high-performance networking and GPU cluster architecture
  • U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not currently available. Willingness to work in a hybrid arrangement with at least three in-office days per week once the permanent office is established.
