Senior Reliability Engineer at Zeon Chemicals

Description

  • Lead the Predictive Maintenance program using vibration, infrared, ultrasonic, and oil analysis
  • Oversee the Mechanical Integrity program for manufacturing plants in Texas and Mississippi
  • Partner with maintenance leaders at both sites to maintain full compliance
  • Manage the corporate risk insurance program and coordinate site audits
  • Review Mechanical Integrity reports, Fitness for Service evaluations, and repair plans
  • Maintain the long-term equipment replacement plan and secure budget inclusion for major assets
  • Monitor rotating equipment using vibration, lubricant, infrared, and ultrasound data
  • Assess equipment health using critical operating process data
  • Administer ZCLP Predictive Maintenance and Mechanical Integrity databases
  • Analyze equipment histories, maintenance costs, and system failures to develop asset management strategies
  • Lead the Site Bad Actor Program and track its performance metrics
  • Supply predictive maintenance history for root cause investigations
  • Oversee third-party Mechanical Integrity inspection contractors
  • Support Design for Reliability, Maintainability, and Inspectability on new equipment projects
  • Ensure technical documents, drawings, OEM manuals, and support materials are available at commissioning
  • Configure new and redesigned equipment in SAP with criticality prioritization and asset strategies
  • Report Predictive Maintenance and Mechanical Integrity KPIs in the Reliance database
  • Identify and resolve potential equipment problems
  • Recommend and monitor continuous remote monitoring systems and applications
  • Facilitate root cause failure analysis and proactive FMECA/RCM activities
  • Recommend and implement preventive maintenance improvements
  • Lead the site spare parts strategy using equipment criticality, lead times, benefit-to-cost, and risk analyses
  • Apply reliability analytics and modeling to identify trends, forecast failure probability, and project mechanical availability

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 10 years of relevant predictive maintenance experience involving rotating equipment, data analysis, and database management in a chemical or petrochemical facility
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience assessing tank, piping, and heat exchanger conditions under ASME, API, or STI standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and highly organized
  • Strong interpersonal abilities
  • Willingness to perform hands-on field testing and troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, IR Thermography, and Ultrasound Analysis certifications or at least 5 years of relevant experience preferred
  • SAP CMMS proficiency preferred
  • Ability to complete a physical examination, including a drug screen
  • Ability to pass a background check
