Description

  • Administer, upgrade, and maintain Primavera P6 EPPM and related tools, including Web Access, Integration APIs, and BI Publisher.
  • Set global and project-level configurations such as calendars, EPS/WBS structures, activity codes, and user-defined fields.
  • Monitor database health, optimize configurations, and tune systems for performance.
  • Control user access, permissions, and security policies across the environment.
  • Create and operate backup and restoration processes to support reliable data recovery.
  • Deliver frontline support, training, mentoring, and troubleshooting for P6 users, schedulers, project managers, and planners.
  • Encourage consistent scheduling practices and effective use of the system.
  • Maintain system standards, operating procedures, and configuration records.
  • Coordinate with IT, developers, Primavera support, and Oracle support on operations, escalations, and patching.
  • Safeguard data accuracy across projects and portfolios.
  • Build and maintain integrations with other enterprise platforms.
  • Report to the Senior Manager, SPMO PM Systems, Operations and Analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • At least seven years of experience administering P6 Primavera applications and supporting project-management scheduling.
  • At least five years of demonstrated Primavera P6 EPPM experience, including schema knowledge, background jobs, and administration guides.
  • Experience with Oracle Database, including SQL, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security.
  • Proficiency with SQL, PL/SQL, and Shell scripting for automation.
  • Understanding of P6’s enterprise structure in support of project management.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle RDBMS installation, configuration, patching, performance tuning, and backup and recovery.
  • Advanced SQL scripting for complex queries and reporting.
  • Experience with PL/SQL automation and Shell or Python scripting.
  • Experience tuning P6 EPPM/PPM databases, particularly during cleanup and resource-intensive operations.
  • Experience implementing security, administering user access, and protecting data integrity in P6 environments.
